A new data set published by Statistics Canada this week showed that low-income households, particularly those in multi-residential buildings, had higher COVID-19 mortality rates than those on higher incomes between January 2020 and March 2021.

According to Stat Can: “Analysis showed that people living in low-income households had significantly higher (1.3 times) COVID-19 mortality rates than people not living in low-income households.”
